D Day in Gorgie

Planet fitba turns its attention to the capital today as Celtic continue their quest for both an undefeated season, and our 48th untainted title. The job wont be easy, Hearts whilst erratic are strong at home. They gave Celtic a hard game in round 1 with Scott Sinclair picking up the winner with just 10 on the clock.

Hearts 6 goals to 1 against the Shame in their 2 games at Tynecastle testify to a difficult assignment for Brendan Rodgers men. Celtic will be in a dog fight from kick off, lets hope the match is played in a fair spirit and we don’t have diving penalties like last time.

Serial diver, type “Jamie Walker diving” into YouTube and you have a library of incidents.

Across our city, Sevco are already out of the equation but you wouldn’t know it. The deluded have written themselves back into the narrative after having gone for 55 > gone for second> they are now here to “stop the treble.”

The facts are that Sevco cant beat Motherwell at home and Pedro’s honeymoon is already over. By the time we play them in the Cup and League i assume they will have dropped more points. If that is the case Brother Pedro will not survive a double dose of reality coming to Hampden and to the Crumbledome soon.

They have a punchers chance of beating us, the referees can be counted on as always and as last year proved, strange things happen at Hampden. Rodgers team however is undefeated there and we should fear none, let alone the Newco.

Moussa will hopefully lead the line if fit. Leigh Griffiths could prove to be the key in Gorgie. He hates the Jambos with a passion and the former Hibee wont escape the wrath of the Diet’s fans. He loves to score against them too and if we need goals to rescue a position, then Griffiths must be our man.

Scott Sinclair secured the points last time we went to Tynecastle.

Today is also an opportunity for Celtic to win its 100th domestic trophy, we of course have 99 Scottish trophies and the Auld Mug.

But you wont hear anything about Celtic centuries from the media, they will be hoping desperately that Timmy doesn’t sweep the nation of all formats without a loss. They had better pray and offer sacrifices to the gods of yore… Rodgers is here to overthrow.

Today we take another step to 115 and the complete dismantling of everything they ever had pride in. If you are going to the game, take a flag, the club is bringing one home shortly after lunch.
