The survival lie is in full swing with Newco signing Graham Dorrans.

He has supported Sevco all his life according to an interview in the Daily Record.

Funnily enough, the 30-year-old is 25 years older than the tribute act he has signed for.

He will fit in well, claiming that the squad is strong enough to challenge Celtic and that European Football doesn’t matter as competing for the title takes precedence.

It shows the gulf between the teams as Celtic look to press forward in Europe whilst Sevco hope to compete domestically, something they failed to do last season.

Speaking in the DR Dorrans replied to a question about Sevco’s lack of Progres in Europe affecting his decision to move to Govan’s 5 star stadium:

“But it had no affect on me coming here at all. I was just desperate to be part of the club I’ve supported all my life.

“And competing for the title is the most important thing for Rangers anyway. It won’t be easy because Celtic are a strong team.

“But I believe our squad are strong enough to challenge.

“Rangers should always be looking to compete for trophies. That was the case when I grew up watching them and hopefully we can do that again.”

With yet another player brought in with no resale value, Sevco has bought another lump who will pander to their support to maintain his position at Scotland’s youngest club.
