Dons fall, Killie bring a pillow, Hearts escape and Celtic soar

Well Sevco can always count on points from Ayr, or votes against sporting integrity for that matter.

But their 3-0 win which will no doubt be reported as keeping the double alive is overshadowed by Celtic’s dominance.

Aberdeen who along with Hearts are the only realistic challengers to Celtic over 38 games at Premiership intensity, fell in a tense game at Pittodrie to a far superior Celtic team.

Aberdeen’s challenge is effectively over, even if we butcher 10 points and a game in hand, like last year and the years before that, they will be found out in the run in.

Hearts are little different, in the space of a week they have thrown away their title challenge with 2 meek performances.

Caley are always a banana skin as Celtic can testify, but dropping points to Killie is a joke.

Killie were themselves taken to pieces by the worst team to play in the Scottish top tier since Gretna earlier today for example.

The narrative has changed in Scotland, instead of mocking the Celtic manager he is marveled at.

By contrast the Magic Hat is being ushered out the door by the same who begged him to sign on for 3 more years just 3 months ago.

The lies that are lapped up by the deluded are not even being told anymore.

There is no point comparing Waghorn’s penalties to Celtic’s goals this year as comparing Waggy to Dembele is frankly laughable.

The press knows it.

I am given to watching the video logs on the Daily Record just to watch 3 Orcs sit slumped in their seats complaining that they are pish and we are only getting better.

We have a domestic treble on offer with a Final against Aberdeen at Hampden in the Betfred Cup, the Premiership at our mercy and our Scottish Cup record poised to be extended.

It is likely that we will be eliminated from Europe this time around, we have a hard draw and a team that is yet to gel.

But out next trophy is our 100th in our unbroken history.

If we can manage 2 trophies this year it will be 100 Scottish trophies to go with our Golden Star.

Today with our win over Aberdeen, we took a massive step towards both.

Full highlights of Aberdeen vs Celtic.
