There has been lots of chat about Dundee FC defender Jack Hendry and a prospective move to Celtic in the January transfer window.

Today Celtic play Dundee in a St. Stephens day match that will hopefully yield 3 points for the Hoops, that said, will Jack Hendry be playing?

If he is to move then he should sit the game out, the only things that can come of it are bad for the young Scot.

For example, should he play poorly he may lose his opportunity to move to Celtic, if he plays well and costs us points he won’t be welcome.

Remember Rivaldo Coetzee, he played 1 game after a figure was agreed, was crocked and had his dream move shot down, it shouldn’t be risked.

Celtic are in need of a new backline pairing with both Boyata and Simunovic falling from grace this term.

If Celtic are to put in a bid for Hendry, it would be good for all parties if it was before the match and not after.

I would love to see Hendry at Paradise, he is young, tall and strong with a complete skill set, Brendan would only make him better.

It would be awful for him if he was to have one bad game under the microscope or one good one and it cost him a dream move.

If he isn’t named in today’s XI, it will say more of who he will next play for than who he currently does.
