It wasn’t 5-1 and it wasn’t vs Rangers

It has taken a while but The Rangers gaffer has finally admitted that their team are not Rangers. Days after revealing that a 5-1 defeat was in fact not a 5-1 defeat Warbo had this to say:

“We weren’t Rangers against Celtic in terms of being on the front foot and being positive, so that’s what we have to show at Ibrox on Saturday, and again on Tuesday in the (Betfred Cup) quarter-final (against Queen of the South).”

So fresh from getting their Newco grief off their chests, they have then turned their guns on Ross County and Queen of South.

Yet again Sevco prepare for battle with two more teams they should beat, but probably wont.

The facts are that Ross County are an upstart to Inverness inasmuch, that they are a colossal banana skin.

With Aberdeen looming away the week after, if Sevco drop points vs the Dingwall men then their title challenge will all but be over.

They will not come back from a double point deficit.

Both Glasgow teams are in a state of flux as they are both off a gubbing.

How the 2 teams respond will be crucial to the outcome of the Premiership.

Celtic need to put things into perspective.

Barcelona is mission impossible for most of the planet.

Sevco need to put things into perspective.

Celtic turned down a 7 million euro bid for a player they don’t really need.

The Newco should (but wont) abandon its tenacious posturing to win an alleged 55th title.

They should be focusing on two things that no Sevco side has ever achieved in all of their 4 year history.

Posting a profit and finish in the top 6 of the Premiership.

Whilst they scoop the bottom of the barrel for Bosmans with big mouths, Sevco will pose no real threat to Celtic.

For example, their highest bid in the last transfer window was £250,000 in compensation for someone Liverpool didn’t want to resign.

As Sevco continue to pretend to be title contenders there is a little something called Math standing in their way.

The numbers are:

  • 4 points behind
  • Celtic 1 game in hand
  • £20 to £30 million coming into Celtic’s coffers through Champions League money
  • Celtic are owned by a genuine billionaire

Then for the bad news:

  • Sevco have no credit line from a bank
  • Sevco are skint and unable to make cash bids for players
  • Sevco are run by a career criminal
  • No Sevco fans seem to care about all of the above

Warbo can bleat on all he wants about how it wasn’t a 5-1 game, or how it wasn’t ‘Rangers’ playing.

But if math and logic have told us anything:

It was 5-1… and

You’re Not Rangers Anymore.
