Long throw ins show Pedro’s calibre

The Scottish Cup saw the revival of long throw ins with penalty king Waghorn taking up the tactic employed by Galacticos from Stoke to Astana.

Last weekend we saw Pedro persist with the venture, with equal lack of success.

Essentially it shows that in Pedro Caixinha we have an opposing manager who  fundamentally doesn’t understand how to get his team playing attacking football.

Ra Peepul lamented Warbo’s lack of a plan B, i would question Pedro’s plan A.

Essentially it seems to be a blend of scrambling about trying to get possession, followed by kicking the ball 30 meters in the air up against Jozo and Dedryck who win the contest 8 out of 10 times.

Has he seen the height advantage our Centre Backs have over Kenny Miller and Martyn Waghorn?

Even when Sevco won a contest, they had their backs to goal and had to play back to the midfield who funnily enough were well attended by our own men.

The result was one way traffic, we recycled the football, passed to our flanks, took the space and whipped in some telling crosses and in Griffiths’ case, a red hot shot.

It is one thing to be beaten by a better team on neutral ground, it is another thing to be gubbed by them a week later playing at home with the exact same tactics.

I hope fellow Tims aren’t upset when i say this, I hope Sevco win their remaining fixtures.

If Pedro is in the dugout come August, you can hand the League Flag to Celtic.

They will need much better players and he is not the manager who will attract them.

The mince he served up as succulent lamb, was the tastiest i have yet savoured.

Life contract for Brother Pedro.
