At £20 pounds a ticket 50,000 fans equals £1 million, with 2 rounds of qualifying and 3 group stage games that would have been £5 million.

The Newco has also missed out on £3 million in appearance fees for reaching the group stages.

Every match won is £350,000 and every draw £120,000, but let’s not fantasize about beating teams, they couldn’t beat the 4th best team in Luxembourg after all.

There is, of course, TV money, the ability to release a European Strip for sale at full price and the opportunity to garner more sponsorship, these too have been wasted.

To put things into perspective, the proposed transfer of Dorrans is £1.5 million and if Sevco had gone on to play just 1 more game then that transfer was two-thirds paid for by gate receipts.

I am not saying that transfer is dead in the water, I am just saying another soft loan will be needed for a team up to their eyeballs in debt.

Many of you who are old enough will remember Leeds United when they reached the Champions League Semi Finals.

O’Leary’s team was built on the premise of reaching the lucrative group stages.

When they failed in qualification the entire house of cards fell in.

I will suggest the same is happening at Ibrox as we speak.

Renown and award-winning journalist Phil Mac Giolla Bhain has stated in alarmed tones, that the Newco are receiving soft loans in JUNE!

They have spent it all before they have even brought it all in.

We have seen a team who is yet to sell out its season ticket allocation just have a line drawn through them by Paddy Power, the Bookies don’t gamble, they take gamblers money.

Sevco is not just in a fix, it’s screwed.

They have gambled on Europa League football that would have added impetus to its season.

They have gambled on no names and journeyman and paid top dollar to boot.

They have devalued a squad who were loyal to the crest and bloated their wage bill with people, who thankfully, cannot understand what is being screeched from the terraces.

Club 1872 just emptied their bank accounts to buy out MASH, King still has to offer shareholders a buyout option and hasn’t got enough to do it.

They are screwed in every way.

I wonder what odds Paddy Power would give on Sevco going into administration by Christmas?

That’s what my money is on.
