The Newco has a crunch match with Aberdeen this weekend, the Dons are already 12 points ahead after their highlands derby win and Sevco’s goalless draw.
It doesn’t get any easier after that for the 5 year old team as they then host their older brothers and city rivals Partick Thistle.
I cant see Sevco beating the Sheep and after the way Partick played last night, i cant see 3 points for brother Pedro at Mordor either.
After those fixtures there is a double dose of Celtic, could it be possible that our feeder club coach will start life at Ibrox with W,D,D,L,D,L,L because that’s what i see.
We are going to beat them in the Cup and at the Crumbledome, Partick might drop a point but i cant see Sevco beating them, they were brilliant last night.
Their midfield swarm like bees on whoever has the ball, they find their shape very quickly in transition and defended set pieces well.
Their passing was crisp and proactive, upon turning the ball over they reverted to the bee swarm and thoroughly frustrated Celtic throughout.
I don’t see Kenny Miller, Clint Hill and co keeping up with such a well drilled team, they will be lucky to get a point.
Before those games however there is a trip to Pittodrie, Pedro needs a point up there, instead i think Aberdeen will gub them.
They are ripe for the picking, 12 points adrift with 21 to play for, this 6 pointer is going to hurt.
If they lose 1-0 or 3-0 is academic, a loss will mean 5 points from 12 and the deluded will begin to howl.
After the examination Celtic will give the “best squad in the country” later this month, they will then have to line up against Aberdeen, St. Johnstone, Partick and Hearts.
Even at Ibrox, which of these teams is giving points to Them?
Pedro needs a point at Pittodrie, if the Sevco bus returns to Glasgow defeated the knives will be out for the 3 year contracted Portuguese before May begins.
He needed 3 points to heap the pressure on Aberdeen, instead they are further adrift and could be sitting equal with St. Johnstone in 10 days.
Luckily for the Ibrox team they will not get to play the likes of Dundee, Inverness, Hamilton, Ross County, Motherwell or Kilmarnock again this season.
All of these teams have taken points of Sevco this season after all.
They only have to deal with the teams who have all beaten them and St. Johnstone.
The Shame are on 52 points with 7 games to go, the way things look for the Ibrox side, they will still be going for 55 after we horse them out of the Cup.
With the fixtures list and the form they are in, maybe they will get to 55, maybe they wont.
