Window shows faith, so don’t doubt it

We all wish that a dedicated Centre Back had been signed, however, if Dedryck and Eric were fit there would be no such conversation.

We have the squad the manager wants, lean and professional.

Nearly 30 players have left Celtic this window, more than I can ever remember in one window in my lifetime, but the man who sent them packing currently has over 50 consecutive matches without a reverse.

Let’s show faith in Brendan, he knows more about the composition of the squad than we do.

Calvin Miller and Anthony Ralston have been thrust into the lime light with the lack of expenditure, both may well find themselves locking horns with the finest attackers on earth in a matter of days.

Lustig can play Centre Back and in fairness looks a better option than Bitton.

That would free up the right back spot, one where Ralston looks desperate to emulate the success of Kieran Tierney.

This will also put the blow torch onto Lustig, he needs to perform this year and show his versatility or he will likely meet a similar end to a full squad who have been discharged from service.

Kristoffer Ajer looked off the pace against the Kazakhs in Astana recently, but he is an undeniable talent and one worth nurturing.

In Edouard, there is the cover for Griffiths and Dembele who is himself inching towards match fitness.

At the back, we are a matter of weeks away from getting our first choice Centre Backs in our squad again.

It isn’t ideal, but it is the hand the gaffer has been dealt, let’s back his judgement.

I’m all in.
