Celtic are again playing some beautiful Football after limping into the winter break, whilst we haven’t seen the defensive recruits we all crave we haven’t done much defending over the last 180 minutes of all out attack.

Of course, we will encounter a higher press away and come the end of the window we will find out if we will rue not signing the allusive Centre Half and Right Back that the fans are screaming for.

In the meantime the fixtures are coming thick and fast and Celtic look to be favourites in them all, a spate of games vs St. Johnstone could well settle not just the Premiership but also advance the Treble Treble with the Newco hemorrhaging points and looking top heavy with wages, not talent.

Celtic’s next game is Hamilton at home whilst the Newco go to another plastic nightmare at Livingston, then we are at Home to St. Johnstone in our catch up match with an opportunity to extend our lead on the 30th.

Should the Ibrox club draw at Livi we can go 5 clear, if they lose as they did last time they played there we would go to 6 clear.

If our excellent home form then continues against the Perth team we could find ourselves 8 or 9 clear of Gerrard’s team before we play Hibernian at home and they travel to Pittodrie.

In between Celtic travel to Perth to play St. Johnstone in the League whilst Sevco will have a clueless St. Mirren to dispatch at Govan.

Then we have Scottish Cup action whereby Celtic will again be favourites against St. Johnstone and Sevco will go to Kilmarnock hoping Jordan Jones won’t send them packing as he did last night.

Indeed between now and the 9th of February it is all to play for, if Celtic can maintain this murderous streak in front of goal with Burke and Weah on fire we can put daylight between ourselves and our challengers and book a Quarter final place in the Cup as well.

Sevco meanwhile are staring at a full scale mutiny in the stands should the over hyped golden oldies and their ’16 million pound striker’ come up short in their matches, expect the Peepul to descend into meltdown.

Gerrard has 16 days to save his Sevco career, it is only our lack of killer instinct which has created this race, with that seemingly fixed, it is time to put it to bed with their managers hopes of a trophy with it.
