A right back away from 9 in a row

Another solid performance by Celtic as the cobwebs continue to be shaken off in the preseason with Bayo and Griffiths both scoring in another come from behind win.

Shved looked solid without being fantastic but showed glimpses of both his pace and allusiveness which will hopefully light up Celtic Park this season.

Gutman played another fantastic shift and was unlucky not to have an assist after Forrest hit the post and found space on the flank only for Mikey to try and prize the defence apart himself, he surely must be retained for the season proper.

On that note, with the addition of Julien to the club we have our Centre Half to replace Boyata, now the almost enduring question of a signature of intent at Right back is all that remains.

We have a plethora of midfielders and in truth after young Luca Connell signed for us today we have more than enough, especially when you think that Oko-Flex and Dembele are desperate for game time let alone young Coffey who also played well today.

Basically all we need to do is go into the market for a Right back who walks into the team and 9 in a row is ours to lose.

We have been linked with George Baldock from Sheffield Utd and with the lad still to sign on in the last year of his contract should maybe nudge them to see if we can get our target, at only 3 million we can surely add a little to that seeing we have saved on Turnbull and spent a fraction on Connell.

Celtic will face our first real test of the preseason against St. Gallen on Tuesday, a week later our competitive fixtures begin, all that is needed is a right back and our season is set.
