It seems that Celtic’s first transfer offer of the window has been made just 10 days before the start of the season.

Vasilis Barkas has been in the news for some time with Celtic having kept tabs on the player for some years now, however, we have come no where close to the Greek teams valuation.

A few weeks ago it was reported he could leave for €5 million, a figure we undercut only to find out we will now need to double our offer.

This looks like the John McGinn transfer all over, if Celtic want the player then we will need to get far closer to the Greek teams appraisal or we risk going into both the 10 in a row season and the 1 off Champions League qualifiers with Bain and Hazard our only keepers.

Bain pulled the ball out of his net 4 times yesterday with one of the goals due to a goalkeeping error.
