Former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly poised to raid Celtic this January with two players in his sights.
Kris Ajer who is developing into a rock for Celtic alongside Chris Jullien is reported to be a target for “Under 20 million pounds.”
On the last day of the summer transfer window Rodgers launched an eleventh hour raid for Callum McGregor for a reported 20 million pounds which was rejected out of hand by the board.
On the back of the sale if Kieran Tierney it would have been too much to bear for most Celtic fans.
Now with Europa League Football secured beyond Christmas we must keep onto our stars as we look to win our ninth successive title.
Players like Edouard, Ntcham, McGregor and Ajer are likely to have bids offered, regardless of the amount none can be accepted.
If we are serious about getting the club not just back to being competitive in Europe, but doing 10 in a row, then these players need to be secured long term and be used as a core on which to build upon.
Mid season isn’t the time to sell the family silver, too much is at stake, that an alleged Celtic fan is trying to hamper the club he left during the run in last year is pitiful.
Even if these players do eventually leave, they should not be sold to Rodgers for any sum, he has done enough damage as is.
