Celtic pluck 2 points from the fire… Again

Sharing is caring!

On February 17th Celtic played Kilmarnock in a fiery game at Rugby Park, Scott brown sealed all 3 points with an injury time winner that lead to a pitch invasion, so rare had it been for us to rely on late courage to secure all 3.

Fast forward a month and we have beaten Hearts and now Dundee with injury time winners, something that is the true mark of a Champion team.

We haven’t let our heads drop, we haven’t succumbed to the pressure, we haven’t acted like the club across our Green and Whyte city, we have proven ourselves better on and off the pitch and more tellingly, both physically and mentally.

Today was neither a beautiful nor an insipid display, but it was a solid gold 3 points which not only sets Celtic up for 8 in a row but puts Gerrards head on the chopping block, a loss or even a draw to Celtic will see Mr 8 out of 10 on the deluded scale fall to a 49% efficacy level and throw away his best and indeed only chance of narrowing the gap with Celtic.

With St. Mirren and Livi afterwards the fixture after the split is becoming an academic fixture more than anything, the SFA won’t risk a repeat of last years party.

We are in a position to not only beat our rivals but to go 13 clear, not only to secure 8 in a row but to destroy a career and force another reactive appointment, not only to send our worldwide support into raptures but to destroy the deluded a matter of weeks after they thought the bottom had fallen out of our ship.

If Lenny is here for 9 and 10 one thing is for sure, he is playing for number 8 next game we play and he will be there waiting for a club, support and culture that have become accustomed to being skelped by him.
