In years to come people will talk about the amount of trebles we have won and I fear it will be hard to explain when we as a support almost demanded them every year.
The pandemic year under Lennon wasn’t the best but we had left over business from the year before and dispatched hearts in front of an empty Hampden.
With fans locked out of the stadiums the usual extra player that the Celtic support becomes in tight matches was missing, however Connor took his chances in the penalty shootout even if he didn’t cover himself in glory over the 120 minutes.
Now Celtic have shown his moments of glory helping to win the Scottish Cup and what was then our 4th consecutive treble, it has since become our 4th out of 5 trebles in just 7 years.
Hopefully Connor takes his chance and sees his new team through the leagues, regardless, he was a hero to us all that day and has his own special place in the history of Celtic Football Club.
Good luck Connor.
