It is interesting that the rules applied across the COVID era of football have been so random, from Celtic having games postponed, players like Christie banned for close contact whilst others could be charged by the police and allowed to play for months, but the latest anomaly is just as serious with such a crucial game to be played.

Celtic are due to play FC Midtylland in a Champions League qualifier with as much as £30 million at stake should we qualify, the need for as many fans as possible to cheer us on is stark given our threadbare squad.

One Celt was on hand to show that we have been short changed despite having both the biggest and best stadium in the country.

That Aberdeen’s stadium is a third of our own but they have permission to have just 3335 less is a scandal, surely we deserve to have at least 25% of the over 60,000 seats or 15,000 tickets.

We are short 6000 by any reasonable assessment.
