Yesterday we saw 2 offside calls that were missed, one involving Maeda coming back from an offside position which lead to a shot but not a goal for Celtic and for Bassey to escape sanction despite being offside in what lead to the winning goal.
This set of debate on a popular Celtic account about how far offside you must be to be called up on it, I can imagine if the correct call had been made by the linesman we would be wading through conspiracy theories at the moment from people across the city declaring he should have been more offside.
The facts are that they have been howling at officials for months and yesterday it paid a dividend whereby they got every 50/50 call and then some.
If we are going to have VAR next season then calls like this need to be confirmed by the computer which places the lines on the screen, not some Rangers Da with a piece of paper or heaven forbid the naked eye.
