Kilmarnock have come back to bite the Newco where it hurts with a brave effort at Ibrox which has again given Celtic the chance to go 10 clear tomorrow.

In truth the Ibrox club should be missing Conor Goldson after he was let off with a yellow after a ridiculous challenge late in the game, judge for yourself if it was a red.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has now dropped out of the Scottish Cup and out of SPFL contention in a matter of days as social media erupts into laughter, his legacy is falling away in front of us, his next job will be at Scunthorpe.

Tomorrow is poised to be a Paddy’s day to remember, should Celtic skelp lowly Dundee we will set up a 10 point lead and a chance to take that momentum into the break with a broken Newco arriving at Paradise on the 31st.

In between our club will see its overall value rise as Scott Bain is awarded a Scottish cap, the journeyman has come along in leaps and bounds and confirmation of his International debut will only see a player picked up for no fee and on a 4 year contract have his value rise exponentially.

Meanwhile Gerrard’s season is crumbling, he is lucky that perpetual runners up Aberdeen also dropped points today, it looks as though he may be able to hold onto second by default.

Not that his team can beat the team coming third head to head mind you.

Should Celtic confirm a win over Dundee and win at Paradise vs Them next round, we will be 13 clear with 21 to play for, with Livi and St. Mirren to follow, we may well enter the split as champions with the luxury of focusing on our Cup tie and resting players from the aforementioned games.

Here we go 8 in a row.
