Moi has signed on for another year at Celtic which is great news, however Fraser Forster it has been reported is far from a certainty and with just hours left in his loan deal at Celtic we may well have seen the last of the big Englishman.
As reported by The Herald:
Fraser Forster is unlikely to return to Celtic this summer, it is understood.
The goalkeeper spent last season on loan from Southampton at Parkhead and the Hoops are desperate for him to return once more for another loan stint.
Now, however, Herald and Times Sport understands Ralph Hassenhuttl may be willing to give the 32-year-old a chance in the team at St Mary’s next season to compete with current number one Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn.
Southampton had reportedly wanted around £10million for Forster on a permanent deal but Celtic were more hopeful of securing him on another loan.
Meanwhile, Mo Elyounoussi is one player who WILL return to Glasgow to sign another loan deal following his successful spell last term.
The Norwegian was confirmed this evening.
If we cannot secure Fraser by midnight then that isn’t the end of our chances, however, should we strike a deal hours after securing Moi then the transfer windows business will be done.
It will be interesting to see what happens between now and Midnight, the extensions for players like Edouard, Ntcham and Ajer depend on our being able to show commitment to progress, Forster is the epitome of that.
