Griff is the answer to the lingering question

There is a lot of chat about our goal scoring of late, we have found it hard to break teams down even though we have enjoyed the majority of possession and conceded only 3 domestic goals since January.

The facts are that we have the manpower on our books, we just don’t have them on our bench.

Leigh Griffiths has over 100 goals for Celtic and has been an amazing, if controversial player for us for years now.

His illness has been well documented by those with little idea or compassion, I won’t be drawn on that, just on the facts.

The facts are that Griffiths is back in training, that suggests he is in a good place with his mental issues and it has been reported he will be back on the pitch before the end of the season.

With an away day to Aberdeen coming up, never has there been a better time to get him back playing, should he play well we will have him for the games vs Sevco and then a doubleheader vs Hearts, a team he hates and loves scoring against.

Next season we have Bayo to look forward to, a player with a high conversion rate from his days in Slovakia and if the videos are to believed a target man who is strong in the air and possessing a deadly strike as well.

These 2 and Edouard will get us the goals we need domestically, as with most of our campaigns the European adventure seems something that will be beyond us due to the boards lack of ambition, therefore I am not going to go into it, they simply won’t spend.

We remain a club in need of reinforcements in the back line, our front line merely needs gametime, with Bayo out injured we will have to wait, with Griffiths back on the training pitch, it is time to put him on the other side of the white line and give him a chance to write his name all over the Scottish Cup and skelp the Newco on the way.
