John Kennedy has spoken about Celtic’s impending transfer plans and the news is good for Celtic fans eager to see us bolster our charges as we attempt to win 10 in a row.
Targets have already been identified and once the state of the transfer window can be assessed Celtic will become proactive in the market.
Of course, a lot of that depends on whether we will be playing behind closed doors, if we will need to replace Edouard, Ajer, Ntcham or Forster and when the Football will be restarting.
These factors will dictate both our budget and the areas of concern.
Speaking on Superscoreboard and reported in the Herald:
“Every year we want to bring a couple of fresh faces in to give us a lift and try and strengthen the areas we think we can improve, and that will be no different this year.
“It will be more challenging because we don’t know the state of the transfer market yet, we don’t know when the transfer windows will run.
“But we have spent this time at home looking at potential players who could come in and improve the squad.
“Our scouts have been spending a lot of time working from home on that as well. There has been a lot of dialogue with them and there’s still a lot of planning in place, but we just have to wait and see how that materialises.”
Whilst it is good news that we are looking for new recruits, 99% of Celtic fans would be happier if we just kept the current line up intact.
Forster on a permanent and Edouard signing a years extension are the two announcements we are all dying to hear.
