Man United offering £15m for Tierney. Sure. Which game do you want him for?

The rumour mill is on overdrive talking trash about lifelong Celtic fan and player Kieran Tierney.

The Bhoy who first became a Hoops starlet at just 7 is being sold for us in the media for a ridiculous undervaluation.

The same people who priced Griffiths at £6 million (after scoring twice against the fabled southerners) for us when the manager said he was worth £15 million, are frantically trying to drag our favourite son off to a club £800 million in debt.

United run a business plan Sevco would be proud of.

Spend and win, ask no questions.

The second best team in Manchester is nowhere for young Kieran to develop, that place is at Parkhead under the guise of Brendan Rodgers.

Tierney has a lifetime of football ahead of him and will have a line of suitors the length and breadth of Planet Fitba as he conducts it.

There is no rush for Tierney to join Mourinho’s bus parking school in the “greatest League on earth”, that said he would fit in well, he isn’t English after all.

The young Celt is worth more than Stones or Virgil in my opinion, let’s look at the facts.

At just 20 years old it isn’t as if he has realised half his potential.

On a 5 year contract and with 4 remaining Celtic have issued a hands off and he has obliged by signing.

If they want his signature then they can offer us what they would offer West Ham, West Brom or Southampton if he was playing there.

That is to say, enough money to build the main stand up to the size of the rest of the park.

50 or 60 million should be too much for the plc to turn down.

£15 million is a disgrace, he will be worth double that in 2 years and still with 2 years on his contract.

It is time Celtic told the vultures to treat us as equals or to forget about speculating about our gems.

We are not a selling club, we are not a small club, we are Celtic.

And Tierney is one of our own.
