New Scottish boss? Steve Clarke is a must

Sharing is caring!

There is a lot of speculation about Kilmarnock gaffer Steve Clarke moving to Celtic next season, the conjecture is based on him being a Tim and also that he has worked wonders on a shoe string budget at Rugby park.

With McLeish away to pay his EBT off, Scotland is in a fix, instead of going backward the clear way forward must be to pick the standout Scottish manager, that simply must be Clarke.

When asked if he would like the job he replied: “Yes, at some stage. Whether it’s now or not is a matter for you guys to speculate.”

Having alerted Scotland that he is available he should be made the priority for the job, I don’t believe he will get his chance at Celtic for the 10, I honestly believe Lennon will pick up the Scottish Cup and get the job long term.

So why not Clarke to Scotland? He turned the Newco down, is being spoken of as a Celtic boss and worked wonders with Killie.

The SFA is skint and will not bring in a big name foreign gaffer, their best bet would be to pay some compensation to Killie and secure a man who has everyone’s respect, he truly has worked wonders in Ayrshire.

With one club sure to hate such an appointment it shouldn’t be an issue, they have no players worthy of their own blue strip let alone the national colours.
