Next Rogic lights up Australia, one for Celtic to buy in January

Sharing is caring!

Australia’s finest son Tom Rogic has become a fan favourite as well as being the go to man for manager Brendan Rodgers, he consistently creates chances and scores goals and is a key member of the champions squad.

Celtic are always on the prowl for the next gem and there is one shining brightly in Australia called Craig Goodwin.

The 26-year-old Aussie winger is on fire of late single-handedly winning the FFA Cup midweek with a couple of belters and earlier today putting Central Coast Mariners to the sword.

Importantly from Celtic’s perspective, he has scored 2 of those 4 goals from the dead ball, an issue where Celtic have been found wanting all year.

Have a look at these goals, the second is pure quality.

The former Sparta Rotterdam player would not be expensive and would challenge Scott Sinclair on the left flank.

At age 26 he has learned his trade and is coming into the peak of his Footballing career, a move to Europe looks certain during the next window should his form maintain, Australia is a bargain basement where transfer fees are low and quality high.

Goodwin has forced his name to the brink of Socceroos selection and his value will only rise once he is capped.

The Aussies will be playing in the Asian Cup this January which coincides with the Scottish winter break, this again will be seamless for bringing him to Celtic or another Scottish team yet an impediment for a team without a winter break.

Celtic have had issues on the left flank all year, in the last couple of games Sinclair’s play has improved but a player to push him who would cost hundreds of thousands and not millions should certainly be explored.

Furthermore, with Griffiths injuries we haven’t had a natural dead-ball specialist, Goodwin is a natural freekick taker and this would be invaluable as teams seem to kick the stuffing out of our players knowing it will not likely lead to conceding a goal.

Celtic is a club renown for unearthing gems, polishing them up and selling them on at a massive profit.

Here is one to watch.
