We Bampots should take the same approach to the January transfer window that the SMSM does. Simply, we should try to influence proceedings. The transfer calamity that was both the sycophantic press fault as well as the lowballers with Magic Hats who has been held to ransom for a matter of 600,000 pounds.

O’Halloran is not up to Celtic’s quality, he had his chance and all the best to him, UNLESS, he signs for the shame. Now i am not sure if i am the only Tim out there who doesn’t like the idea of former Hoops playing for them. But i would feel a whole lot better if he signed with a Championship club in England. Hell, if the world record holding 4 year olds want him but cannae pay more than 150,000 quid, surely there are a few scouts out there looking for a cheap bargain.

So how to sell Michael O’Halloran?

The narrative must be one whereby:

  • he is not good enough to play for Celtic
  • not willing to Lee Wallace his career in the lower leagues
  • Won’t betray his team mates by joining an equally pish club in Scotland
  • Wants to take the next step in his career in England

with the last one we have become accustomed to saying “Who can blame him”  and who could blame Michael O’Halloran on his prospective move to the Championship with a host of suitors lining up to grab the prize signature of the former Hoops starlet.

O’Halloran who often takes holidays in Barcelona, laments not fulfilling his potential at Celtic. He said “I never quite made it at Celtic, but I will never be a Billy I’m a Tim”.
