There are some horrendously one sided opinions out there and one of the worst goes around the application of VAR and what possible affect it could of had in this season.

The facts are that if we had VAR we wouldn’t have lost the Scottish Cup Final and it is more than likely that some dangerous challenges would have been referred after Madden did nothing on field.

One particular site is renown for its hate of Celtic, called Seville Calculator it doesn’t talk about them trying to reach Seville this year, it is all about our time in the city in 2003.

Goodness knows if they qualify for the final how they will be received by the locals let alone how they will treat them, I am guessing the FIFA fair play award may escape them.

Sakala scoring against Motherwell a mile offside and penalty to Sevco vs Hibernian, Porteous missing Aribo, the scandalous penalty vs Aberdeen whilst trailing 2-1, the attack on the goalkeeper vs Aberdeen which then lead to a goal for them and other incidents throughout the year are missing from this selection.

Funny that.

When VAR comes in next year, lets hope we get full time foreign referees to use it, the amateur hour which is the SFA’s group of referees are a disgrace.
