“The Scottish FA will cast its vote for Gianni Infantino at the forthcoming FIFA Presidential Election in Zurich.

The Board of the Scottish FA supports his bid to become FIFA President after reviewing the manifestos of all candidates.

Stewart Regan, the Scottish FA Chief Executive, Alan McRae, the President and Rod Petrie, the Vice-President, will travel to Switzerland tomorrow to represent the association at Friday’s election and the President will cast the vote in favour of the Swiss, who is currently the General Secretary of European football’s governing body, UEFA.”

Q: How many individuals does it take replace a light bulb at Hampden?

A: Three, one to replace the bulb and two to hold the ladder.

One should note from the statement that only the President, Mr McRae will vote so why the need for Regan and Petrie to accompany him on this five star no expense spared junket to Zurich? We can rest assured that extra leg room Regan will be flying business class, assuming of course that they don’t hire their own lear jet on this occasion. Mr McRae could cast his vote by post, but why save costs when last year’s revenue is £33.6m and Rangers are on their way to The Scottish Premiership with the promise of an increase on year on year revenue.
