Opinion: Tinkerman Ange may have cracked it. Scales and Monty left, Ralston and Josip right.

It was only Raith and they were down to 10 men, but we saw Ange play his cards very smartly with his substitutions even as many of us scratched our heads with the lack of Giakoumakis, we have since heard he has a strain suffered in the warm up which hopefully isn’t too bad.

For me the find of the night was Liam Scales, we saw him in advanced areas, at Left back and also at Centre Half when Starfelt pushed forward and he looked very much at ease in all the positions.

What bode best was his link up play with Montgomery, the two young Bhoys truly look like they could form a connection on the left flank.

On the right we saw Juranovic move to play Jamesy’s role on the right wing, Ange has got the best out of Ralston but knows he is primarily a Right Back, with the loss of Forrest he is in need of cover for Abada and Juranovic looks the perfect foil.

Today we went to our bench and found gems, themselves covered with a little dust but sparkling none the less, how Ange polishes them up between now and a Hampden date vs cup holders St. Johnstone will be very interesting.

We have been lamenting our lack of depth since Livi, today we found out our bench has plenty to offer.
