Last year we saw the emergence of one of the finest young players to ever grace Scottish Football, a prodigy whose versatility is still being explored and whose career is sure to take him on a journey to the top of European and World Football.

Ryan Kent?

No not likely, of course i am talking about Kristoffer Ajer, a man who started his Footballing career as a boy at Centre Forward, moved to become captain of Norwegian team Start at defensive midfield and then through a loan spell at Killie returned as a Centre Half.

This year his development has seen him play as a makeshift Right back, the only thing about that is he has been arguably the best Right Back in the League when moving out there.

There is literally nothing the ‘Norse Horse’ can’t do, if you gave him the gloves he would probably be churning out the clean sheets after a few matches, such is his ability to learn, he truly is a gem.

Now of course when he came into the team all the way back when our unbeaten streak was ended by Hearts at Tynecastle, he went about cementing his place with a string of clean sheets that secured the title for Celtic.

Last year he was incredible, as he turned a mere 20 years old he showed maturity beyond his years with a commanding presence in the box which has had foreign scouts keeping tabs on him and rumours of a 15 million pound move to Leicester.

The rat can ask what game he wants him to play for that money.

But I digress, astoundingly, Ryan kent was named as the best young player of the year, the People short on trophies and high on hubris clutched at straws as only they can.

His return of 6 goals in 43 appearances was actually a better return than the rest of his professional career on loan from Liverpool where he garnered 1 goal in 17 for Coventry and 3 goals in 47 for Barnsley.

He, of course, failed to score on loan at either Freiburg or Bristol and this year has actually been his best matching last season 6 in just 19 matches.

Maybe he will be young player of the year again?

Rangers were sold a dud, the PFA handing out an award to an undeserving player has lead to the horde screaming for his signature, they then pumped a club record 7 million quid into a one-dimensional player who scores a goal on average once every 8 games.

Had he been overlooked for the award he would have gone back to Liverpool and been farmed out somewhere else, instead we have a player at the Newco who they invested so much in they have to play him.

This is great news for the opposition!

Unlike Helander who is regularly benched behind Ge55ard favourites Goldson and Katic, no one seems to be taking Kent out of the line up, maybe the other players were sold to Juventus or something.

I like many was perplexed when I saw the award go to The Rangers player, i must admit i did chuckle when they broke the bank to bring him back and don’t forget most of that fee is deferred til next season, itself robbing their kitty for the 10 in a row campaign.

Whoever at the PFA gave the award to Kent, well played to you sir, well played to you.
