Sevco are again refusing to meet Connor Goldson’s asking price for wages and he looks set to walk out on the Newco at the end of his contract.

They have cover in Souttar who they were rejected from buying as they lowballed Hearts with a derisory bid of £300k despite him remaining available for a higher fee as he didn’t play in the Scottish cup and isn’t cup tied.

If Goldson were to be sold you would think the money would go straight to Souttar’s capture.

As reported in the Herald:

RANGERS defender Connor Goldson is a target for two Championship clubs, according to a report.

Nottingham Forest and West Brom are interested in securing a pre-contract agreement for the Englishman.

The 29-year-old has entered the final six-months of his current deal at Ibrox, meaning he is free to speak to other clubs.

With negotiations stalling this campaign, it looks like Goldson will be headed for the Rangers exit door in the coming months.

And the Scottish Sun say that Forest and WBA are vying for his services.

Goldson is by no means perfect but knows the Scottish game well, if he leaves whilst having repeatedly asked for a pay rise only points to the frugal nature of the Newco board.
