Celtic received a boost with a home draw in the Scottish Cup being drawn against St. Johnstone at home in the next round of the Scottish Cup.
Meanwhile Sevco have been drawn against Kilmarnock and the manager that turned them down in the off season, Celtic fan Steve Clarke.
The match will be played on Kilmarnock’s notorious plastic pitch which has thrown up many surprises including a surprise defeat for Celtic earlier this year and a 1-1 draw vs the 7 year old club.
Kris Boyd will no doubt be happy, he has managed to score 7 goals against the Ibrox team, something he has failed to do vs Celtic.
Should Celtic continue our excellent home form a Quarter Final awaits, with Hampden no longer a ground Celtic fears and the venue for both the Semi Final and Cup Final, Celtic will be hoping that our history of success in Cups under Rodgers continues.
