Watch Forrest and Brown deal out Capital punishment as Lennon cements role at Paradise

Sharing is caring!

They say a week is a long time in Football but the last few days have seemed like a season!

2 massive games away in the Capital have provided an opportunity for the club to either fall apart at the seams or sieze its chance with the treble treble at stake and our nearest challengers reveling in the dismay that gripped Celtic with Rodgers departure.

French Eddie was the hero at Hearts scoring in injury time and the game against Hibs was equally nerve wracking, whilst it remained a stalemate it always looked as though whoever scored first would take a place in the Scottish Cup Semi Finals.

Enter James Forrest with a remarkable goal which will be long replayed by Celtic fans, he turned the defence inside out and shot back across them expertly beating the keeper with a contender for goal of the year.

The goal was then followed by a frantic period of play with the home team needing a goal and Celtic looking to score again, Edouard went close only to tee up Scott Brown with the skipper lifting the goal frame off the ground with his shot.

The win takes the pressure off Neil Lennon as manager, the Semi Finals are due to be played on the 13/14 of April, before then Celtic play Aberdeen, Dundee, Sevco, St. Mirren and Livingston before the League split.

The gaffer can wrap up the Premiership by taking full points in these fixtures and with our away trips being to lowly Dundee and St. Mirren and our home record immaculate there is nothing to stop us from doing just that.

Lennon has 8 in a row and the treble treble on a plate in front of him, win the games between now and the Semi Final and then it will be 2 cup games and a couple of wins to seal another title.

On Tuesday we were away twice in the capital then back at home to Aberdeen with 8 in a row and a third successive Scottish Cup looking miles away, today we lick our lips at the fixtures ahead and impatiently await the 31st of March and a chance to put the Newco and their fans back under their rock.

What a time to be a Tim!
