My first ever Celtic game was Celtic vs Barcelona in 2004, I got the ticket on the day and my baptism didn’t disappoint, apart from Thomo’s kung fu kick the thing I never forget was the old Nokia ringtones as the team came out for the 2nd half with Marshall making his debut after Rab had been sent off.
The rest was the stuff of pure legend, we won the game 1-0 on the night and Marsh backed up his heroics for a clean sheet at the Camp Nou as Celtic won through to the last 16, something we have yet to do since.
Scotland has been through its fair share of pain since 1998, David Marshall’s penalty save for the national team threw up some amazing scenes, watch the video to the end, the last man has riddy but honestly think he doesn’t care.
With Scotland due to vote in May and with the SNP likely to win on the mandate of Indyref2, the game in June at Wembley will take on an even more significant emphasis.
10’s of thousands of Scots will travel and you can be sure to see Saltires everywhere, should they win, it will rock the establishment to their core.
Well done Scotland.
