Where’s the money Dave? Deadline comes and goes, nothing on the table.

Dave King’s advertisement which served as an informal prospectus stated that money would be available for a share offer on the 23rd of April, 3 days on there is still no money on the table for the worthless shares.

Dave King has been buying time for months with deadlines coming and going, there is still no audited prospectus and no money in an escrow account which beggars the question, does he intend to wait for the season ticket money and pay with it?

He has stated himself to be penniless although he manages to fly across the world enjoying Champions League matches but missing Rangers play in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Since he is in the UK, will he go to Paradise I wonder?

The season tickets are already to be garnished by Close brothers and last years ‘signings’with Sevco yet again falling into the Ticketus style trap of paying for this year’s survival with next years money.

If the £11 million is to come from the season ticket money on top of the £4 million they already owe plus at least another million for their loan players it will see the Peepul £16 million down before a ball is kicked.

For a club that only turned £29 million last year this represents the majority of their turnover.

With Pedro’s Galacticos still on the books and no suitors to take them elsewhere, the company will find itself without the means to survive before Christmas.

What then?

Put the pie stall and car park back in the Close brother pawn shop and hit them up for £10 million to keep the lights on?

Let’s hope they do, bankruptcy and administration are a lexical set with Ibrox and with little hope of European Progres and £17 million in soft loans to pay this may well tip them over the edge.

With the need to sell season tickets all the more desperate, a defeat by Celtic at Paradise may just leave King without next years money to pay off last years sins.
